The English Civil War(s) 1603 - 1689
At the start of the 17th century, and in the wake of the Renaissance and Reformation, England begins to undergo some significant Changes. As the rule of Elizabeth I ends, and her successors, James I, then Charles I (Pictured left), unfold, "The Divine Right of Kings" becomes increasingly challenged. By the end of the 17th century, the people of England and England's political system will be changed drastically. Can you figure out why? This unit is designed to provide you with the foundations of learning about history. Below, you will learn about making observations, inferences and conclusions and why those actions are very different things. Then, you will learn about Historical significance, Continuity and Change, Causes and Consequences, so that you and your classmates can investigate some of the texts on which Historians base their stories. You will Present your findings on: Friday November 29, 2019 |
